Within the framework of our cooperation, we would like to inform you that we attended the Exhibition for the Incentive Business Travel & Meetings Industry (EIBTM 2009) in Barcelona Spain, from 1 through 3 December 2009. At the fair, we also participated in the stand of the Hellenic Association of Professional Congress Organizers (HAPCO) and – mainly – the stand of the Greek National Tourism Organization (GNTO), where we had the opportunity to distribute our Congress Guide 2009 and the accompanying CD-ROM which contain valuable information for international congress organizers interested in Greece.
Despite the global economic situation, the EIBTM saw a moderate turnout of buyers. The Greek stand was visited by numerous professionals who expressed high interest in Greece; they were handed our Congress Guide along with the CD-ROM, two most useful information and communication tools for international trade professionals interested in Greece’s capacity and infrastructure for hosting congresses.
During prescheduled meetings arranged by the GNTO director and her associates, we held presentation and information sessions with international buyers who said they were going to provide us with pertinent information and the business cards of trade visitors.
I would like to take this opportunity to forward you a list of the Trade Visitors whom I personally briefed. They expressed high interest for Congresses and Incentives in Greece. I also forward you a list of Tour Operators in Spain, which I obtained from the GNTO, for your use.
