The Modern Olympics Museum was founded in 1961. Distributed in showcases in a chronological order, the museum collection contains rare memorabilia donated by individuals and the Hellenic Olympic Committee. Most of the items displayed date back to the first modern Olympic Games held in 1896 in Athens. Rare memorabilia from other modern Olympic Games including photographs, medals, diplomas, cups, ticket stubs and a valuable collection of rare stamps complement the Museum collection.
